Antares, the brightest red giant M1 star, is the heart of the constellation Scorpius. If you placed it at the center of our own solar system, it would swallow Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, and almost reach Jupiter. Every two years Antares opposes Mars. Pluto visits Scorpio every 248.7 years, and was conjunct to Antares in 2000.
Antares influences the turning point in the life cycle of the individual.
It demands we take a stand for our truth against established conditions or authority directing our lives when those conditions no longer serve our best interests or freedom.
One recalls that it was the sting of Scorpio that resulted in the death of Orion the Hunter.
